Sabini Questioned the Opposition Ahead of the Rendición de Cuentas Debate in the Senate

Frente Amplio Senator Sebastián Sabini, president of the Senate’s Integrated Committee on Finance and Budget, spoke about the handling of the Rendición de Cuentas, which will be debated this Monday the 22nd in the plenary session of the Upper House, according to Medios Públicos Uruguay.
According to that outlet, the governing caucus in the Senate has already decided not to introduce changes to the text that arrived approved from the Chamber of Representatives. He also said that those who closed off the possibility of negotiation were sectors of the opposition, recalling that, according to his version, the day after the Rendición de Cuentas was presented they announced at a press conference that they would not vote for it.
