ANV launches call to buy or exchange refurbished homes in eight departments
The call includes 36 units of up to four bedrooms in Montevideo and the interior. The deadline to apply is September 25 at 4:00 p.m.
The National Housing Agency this week opened a call for people interested in accessing refurbished homes through purchase or exchange, according to La Diaria.
According to the publication, the call covers 36 units of up to four bedrooms distributed across Artigas, Canelones, Maldonado, Montevideo, Paysandú, Salto, Tacuarembó and Treinta y Tres. In the capital, 21 homes are being offered in the neighborhoods of Belvedere, Colón, Conciliación, La Teja and Malvín Norte.
Still according to La Diaria, applications are now open and will remain open until Friday, September 25, at 4:00 p.m. Citizens or legal residents of legal age with a valid ID may apply, provided they do not exceed 80 years of age at the end of the loan term.
Among the conditions, the ANV indicated that none of the holders may appear in category five in the risk registry of the Central Bank of Uruguay. At least one year of work seniority is also required, whether in the public or private sector or as an independent worker, with the possibility of counting consecutive jobs if there was no more than three months of inactivity between one and the next.
As for income, the minimum required varies depending on the locality, neighborhood and number of bedrooms. At the same time, the household’s net income may not exceed 80 Adjustable Units, currently equivalent to 155,261 Uruguayan pesos, La Diaria reported.
Registration can be completed in person at the ANV headquarters or at offices in the interior, and in Montevideo an appointment must be requested by phone in advance. The remote option is also available through a web form.
According to the outlet, each person may only register for one neighborhood or locality and for one type of home according to the number of bedrooms. If there is more than one applicant per category, a lottery will be held to determine the order of precedence.
The purchase option is aimed at those who are not owners or promise buyers of a housing solution in the country. In those cases, the ANV offers a credit line of up to 95% of the property’s value, with a maximum term of 25 years.
The exchange option, meanwhile, is intended for promise buyers with or without an outstanding balance with the ANV who have not yet signed the deed, including properties under agreements with interior municipalities, Fideicomiso I and Fideicomisos 237 BHU. The home offered must have no overdue installments and must be up to date on common expenses, fees and taxes. In addition, it will be appraised by the ANV according to its current state of preservation.
