The Ministry of the Interior will launch a call to fill 56 seasonal administrative positions in the National Directorate of Migration, according to information published by El País Uruguay.

The positions will be distributed across eight inspectorates in the interior: Colonia with 11 vacancies, Fray Bentos with 9, Paysandú with 9, Maldonado with 8, Salto with 5, Chuy with 5, Rivera with 5 and Río Branco with 4.
The work includes administrative tasks related to data entry and loading into the computer system, as well as public service at international bridges, ports, inspectorates and border crossings.
Among the mandatory requirements are having completed the first year of high school, or its equivalent in technical-professional education, residing no more than 30 kilometers from the chosen inspectorate, and being between 18 and 45 years old at the close of registration.
El País Uruguay also noted that studies above the minimum required, tertiary education in administration, public service courses, computer training and verifiable experience in the 2025-2026 seasonal period will be valued. It also indicated that those who have already worked as seasonal employees in the last two seasons will move directly to the stage of submission of official documentation.
Registration will be completed digitally from Thursday, September 17, 2026, through Monday, October 5, inclusive. Upon completing the process, each applicant must select the inspectorate of interest and the system will issue a receipt with an identification number to follow the process.
