National Congress of Councilors backed HIF Global’s project in Paysandú without the Frente Amplio vote

The Executive Board of the National Congress of Councilors approved in Colonia a declaration of support for the installation of HIF Global’s investment in Paysandú. The resolution passed by majority and did not have the votes of the Frente Amplio, according to El Telégrafo.

He added that in October, during the next councilors’ congress in Paysandú, they proposed inviting the company’s CEO, Martín Bremerman, to report on the progress. He also said that at the November session, scheduled in Río Negro, the Minister of Industry, Fernanda Cardona, or whoever she designates, would be invited to learn the government’s position.
