Caggiani linked the return of the debate over nighttime raids to an internal dispute in the National Party
The Broad Front senator questioned the reopening of a discussion already settled by the public and said the issue reflects leadership disputes within the opposition. He also called for agreements to appoint the prosecutor of the Court.
Broad Front Senator Daniel Caggiani said in an interview with diaria Radio cited by La Diaria that he was struck by the way the debate over nighttime raids as a public security tool was brought back into the spotlight.
According to the lawmaker, the issue gained new momentum after the appearance of acting prosecutor of the Court Mónica Ferrero before the House Budget Committee, which is integrated with Finance, and later resurfaced at the congress of National Party list 40. In that context, Caggiani interpreted the move as an internal signal to Álvaro Delgado to raise the issue in his meeting with President Yamandú Orsi.
