Yamil Esgaib believes Alliana will end up aligning with Cartes on the vice presidency
The ruling-party lawmaker said Pedro Alliana will choose his running mate after the municipal elections, but estimated that his decision will match Horacio Cartes’ preference for Juan Carlos Baruja.
Cartista lawmaker Yamil Esgaib said, according to Última Hora, that Horacio Cartes’ support for Juan Carlos Baruja as vice presidential candidate for 2028 is not a novelty within Honor Colorado.
According to that outlet, Esgaib recalled that Pedro Alliana had already said he would wait until the municipal elections on October 4 are over to decide who will accompany him on the presidential ticket.
