Deadline expires to publish polls ahead of the 2026 municipal elections

This Friday, September 18, the legal deadline expires to publish opinion poll results ahead of the 2026 municipal elections, according to ABC Color based on the Electoral Justice schedule.
According to the report, the publication of surveys is allowed until 11:59 p.m., in compliance with Article 305 of Law No. 834/96 of the Paraguayan Electoral Code. Once that deadline closes, the publication of voter-intention polls will be prohibited during the 15 days prior to the election. Those studies must also include their corresponding technical sheet.
The same day also marks the end of the internal control period for electoral materials, supplies and documents. That task was carried out by the institution’s Electoral Resources, Electoral Logistics and Human Resources departments, ABC Color reported.

The municipal elections are scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2026, in 263 districts across the country. On that day, mayors and members of municipal boards will be elected for the 2026-2031 term.
