Seven former students testified in the trial of Hernán Rivas, and only two said they remembered him at the university

According to that outlet, five of them said they never saw Rivas during his time at the university. That group includes Guillermo Gauto, Livio Díaz and Elía González, who studied law at the Luque branch, as well as Ana Carmen Coronil and Éver Samaniego, linked to the Ciudad del Este campus.

The other two witnesses who did say they identified him were Victorina Elizeche and Éver Ortiz Torres. According to Última Hora, Elizeche said she remembered that he was named on the roster, although she never spoke with him. Ortiz Torres, for his part, said he remembered him only by sight.
The outlet added that, allegedly, Rivas would have studied at Universidad Sudamericana between 2010 and 2015.
