Doctors prepare lobbying efforts in Congress over the 2027 PGN after sealing an agreement with the Government

The National Doctors’ Union (Sinamed) announced that it will pursue efforts before the National Congress during consideration of the 2027 General Budget of the Nation, with the goal of having its labor demands included. According to La Nación Paraguay, the union will seek to closely follow the review of the spending plan to ensure approval of the corresponding addendum.
José Vargas, a union leader, told the program “Así son las cosas,” on GEN and Universo 970 AM/Nación Media, that the sector has the commitment of lawmakers, although he stressed that they will still need to be present when the issue comes up for debate. In that context, he said they also already have a draft on the medical career track.
