The PY15 route added a paved section and training efforts are advancing in Pozo Hondo
Lot 4 of the Mariscal Estigarribia-Pozo Hondo section entered the paving phase at the end of August. At the same time, public agencies are carrying out productive workshops for 45 families in the area.
The Mariscal Estigarribia-Pozo Hondo section of National Route PY15 reached the paving stage in its Lot 4 at the end of August, according to MOPC Paraguay. The intervention covers 52 kilometers, from kilometer 270 to 322.
According to the agency, progress on the work aims to improve freight transport circulation and strengthen logistical and economic integration in the border area of the Western region.
At the same time, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications is carrying out technical and productive training sessions for 45 families in Pozo Hondo. According to MOPC Paraguay, these efforts are being developed together with the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development at the local Fishermen’s Association.
The workshops include theoretical and practical training on dual-purpose poultry production, professional beekeeping management and the organization of community groups in the project’s direct area of influence.
Also according to MOPC Paraguay, the road works are part of the Bioceanic Corridor Tranche 3 project, a work of more than 220 kilometers divided into four lots. In this sector, the work is under the supervision of the MOPC and carried out by Consorcio TCR.
