The Municipality of Asunción Oversaw Road and Drainage Works at Several Points in the City

The General Directorate of Works of the Municipality of Asunción led a technical inspection this Wednesday, September 8, at different road and stormwater drainage work fronts, according to official information from the municipality.

According to the Municipality of Asunción, the tour was ordered by Mayor Luis Bello with the aim of strengthening follow-up on the work, improving operational coordination and giving greater pace to the interventions in the city.

Among the points visited was the sector of De la Victoria Avenue and Paso de Patria, where a project is being carried out in coordination with the Empresa de Servicios Sanitarios del Paraguay. There, road renewal is under way on the stretch between Fernando de la Mora and Eusebio Ayala avenues, along with work associated with the stormwater drainage system.

The municipality also indicated that in areas requiring greater resistance due to the presence of water, hydraulic concrete pavement is being used.

The tour also included Montanaro Street and the surroundings of Epifanio Méndez Fleitas, where road works and tasks linked to the stormwater drainage of the Itay stream basin were verified, in the area of the Mercado de Abasto.

Another of the sites inspected was the intersection of Yerutí and Epifanio Méndez Fleitas, which, according to the Municipality of Asunción, has already been completely concreted.

According to the official information, these verifications are part of a strategy to advance in less time both drainage works and the road projects of the ASU 400 Blocks Plan.
