The Ombudsman’s Office and Paraguay’s INE coordinate a records system to strengthen rights protection
Both institutions have begun technical work to organize and unify the information arising from citizen services. The goal is to turn that data into useful evidence to improve the state’s responses.
Paraguay’s Ombudsman’s Office and the National Institute of Statistics have begun technical coordination to improve the way information received by the institution in its daily work with the public is recorded, organized and used.
According to the Ombudsman’s Office, the meeting was held within the framework of Law No. 6670/2020, which created the National Statistical System. Technical teams from both agencies took part in the meeting and advanced the first steps toward having more organized, comparable and reliable records.
According to the institution, the work aims to ensure that data gathered in daily service can be turned into useful information to better understand people’s situation and their rights protection needs.
During the day, common criteria were also addressed for the collection of information, the organization of institutional records and the development of tools that allow those data to be used in a coherent and secure manner, the Ombudsman’s Office said.
