Spain launches official campaign to promote protection of Doñana

The Government of Spain launched an institutional campaign focused on the conservation of Doñana and its area of influence. According to ABC España, it is the first official advertising effort specifically dedicated to raising awareness about the environmental situation of the protected area.
The initiative, promoted by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, will run until October 30, 2026, and is part of the Framework of Actions for Doñana. That plan combines environmental recovery measures with policies aimed at the sustainable development of the area.
According to ABC España, the campaign will be aired in general-interest and specialized print media, radio, shopping centers, street furniture, monoposts, intercity buses and screens at train stations in Huelva, Sevilla and Cádiz.
The message presents the defense of Doñana as a collective task tied to the future of nearby communities. The visual proposal uses an image of the marshes and includes a QR code to access a video and information on the progress of the official plan.
Still according to ABC España, the Framework of Actions for Doñana foresees an investment of 745.3 million euros through 2028 and brings together 13 ministries. The program includes actions on water resources, ecological restoration and biodiversity, as well as social and economic measures for productive sectors, local initiatives and improvements in the living conditions of seasonal workers.
