MITIC and MEF review goals and indicators for Paraguay 2050 National Development Plan
Teams from both ministries advanced in validating preliminary proposals linked to the technology sector. The work aims to measure the contribution of digital transformation, connectivity and state modernization to the development plan.
Representatives of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies and a team from the General Directorate of Planning of the Ministry of Economy and Finance held a technical meeting to advance the review and validation of goals and indicators for the Paraguay 2050 National Development Plan, according to MITIC.
During the meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters, the preliminary proposals from MITIC were analyzed using criteria of relevance, measurability, availability of information and feasibility of monitoring.
According to the agency, these indicators seek to provide objective tools to assess the contribution of the technology sector to the plan’s objectives, in areas such as digital transformation, connectivity, innovation and state modernization.
The process, MITIC added, is aimed at results- and evidence-based planning, with the goal of facilitating the monitoring of progress and compliance with the targets set in the national development strategy.
According to the ministry, the Paraguay 2050 National Development Plan serves as a roadmap to guide the country’s growth with a focus on inclusion, sustainability and equity, with pillars such as physical and digital infrastructure, knowledge development, investment attraction and institutional strengthening.
