The MIC launched the 2026 edition of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Paraguay
The call was presented by the Vice Ministry of Mipymes and aims to recognize, highlight and support Paraguayan entrepreneurs. The awards ceremony is scheduled for Paraguay Business Week 2026 and Expo Paraguay-Brasil.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Paraguay presented the 2026 edition of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, an initiative aimed at recognizing and highlighting the work of entrepreneurs in the country, as well as supporting the development of their projects.
According to the MIC, the proposal is being promoted together with institutions from the national entrepreneurial ecosystem and includes a training and evaluation process, as well as the possibility of accessing seed capital.
During the launch, Vice Minister of Mipymes Gustavo Giménez underscored the institutional commitment to entrepreneurs and Paraguayan mipymes, and called on them to take part in the new edition. According to the ministry, the awards presentation will take place במסגרת Paraguay Business Week 2026 and Expo Paraguay-Brasil.
Also participating was the director of the National System of Labor Training and Capacity Building, Alfredo Mongelós, who highlighted the importance of comprehensive support to strengthen ventures, according to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
The 2026 edition will have nine categories: Youth Entrepreneurship, Women Entrepreneurs, Innovative Entrepreneurship, Technological Entrepreneurship, eCommerce Business, Cultural Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Entrepreneurship, University Entrepreneurship and Silver Economy Entrepreneurship.
The MIC also recalled that the previous edition brought together around 1,000 entrepreneurs from all over Paraguay.
