Modernization of Colegio Nacional Paso Yobái in Guairá advances
The work at the emblematic school has already completed its main structures and is entering the finishing stage. According to MOPC Paraguay, more than 800 students will benefit from the improvements.
The comprehensive renovation of Colegio Nacional Paso Yobái, in Guairá, has reached the full completion of its main blocks and is moving into the final adjustments, according to information released by MOPC Paraguay.
The intervention covers 6,766 square meters and aims to improve teaching conditions, school coexistence and physical activity in a safe, accessible environment with environmental sustainability criteria.
According to the agency, the new classroom blocks, earthworks, walkways, pergolas and demolitions have already been completed 100%. Electrical installations, the potable water hydrosanitary system, storm drainage and fire protection were also fully completed.
At present, work is focused on the overall finishing of the site and the final touches on the sports module, areas that show 99% physical progress. MOPC Paraguay added that the intervention in the existing sports facility, the reconfiguration of restrooms and the complex’s specialized services are already finished.
Among the solutions incorporated is a system of evapotranspiration ponds for the final disposal of water, in addition to the conditioning of outdoor spaces and landscaping. Those outdoor areas are more than 90% complete.
The work is being carried out by Consorcio E&C, with oversight by RVV Ingeniería and technical supervision by the Public Works Directorate of the MOPC. The planned investment is G. 15,418,445,890 and is being executed through an agreement with the Ministry of Education and Sciences and the Fundación Parque Tecnológico Itaipú – Paraguay.
