Starlink installation advances in Paraguayan schools, and Elon Musk echoed the announcement

According to the details released, all 17 planned units have already been installed in Ñeembucú. Installation has also been completed in Cordillera, Concepción and Itapúa, with 49, 102 and 141 antennas, respectively. In Canindeyú, meanwhile, 108 of the 152 planned units have been installed and another 44 are still in progress.
La Nacion Paraguay also noted that the rollout is part of the alliance between the Paraguayan government and Starlink, the company owned by Elon Musk, who shared on his social media accounts a post linked to the service’s progress in the country.
According to the official report cited by the outlet, the plan aims to bring internet to isolated communities and areas where traditional access presents greater difficulties. In that context, it was reported that the 1,600 satellite connectivity kits provided by Starlink will make it possible to progressively expand coverage to more institutions.

Still according to La Nacion Paraguay, the metal supports used to mount the antennas are manufactured by people deprived of liberty who were trained in labor workshops within the prison system, under an agreement between the Ministry of Justice and Copaco.
