Authorities and entrepreneurs from Concepción analyzed measures to boost industrial activity
Officials from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and private-sector representatives met in Asunción to assess support tools for productive development in the north of the country.
A delegation of entrepreneurs from Concepción met in Asunción with authorities from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to coordinate business and development opportunities for the department, according to Paraguay TV.
During the meeting, the available tools mentioned included the 10% market reservation for mipymes and the expansion of the Business Development Centers, which provide technical assistance to ventures.
According to Paraguay TV, the meeting was led by the Minister of Industry, Marco Riquelme, and included the participation of the vice ministers Javier Viveros and Gustavo Giménez, as well as Congressman Arturo Urbieta.
Also present was the municipal councilor of San Lázaro, Julián Ortiz, who said he had previously taken part in a hearing with miners, associations and cooperatives, where proposals related to industrialization and access to credit support were presented.
According to Paraguay TV, Giménez said the initiative for Concepción seeks to take advantage of the department’s productive potential and respond to entrepreneurs’ interest in learning about and accessing the available benefits. The day also addressed the needs of producers and organizations from different districts.
