Asunción will maintain a regime of waivers and discounts for municipal taxes until September 30

The Municipality of Asunción reported that the “Flor de Descuentos” promotion will remain in effect until September 30, a measure promoted by Mayor Luis Bello to facilitate the regularization of tax obligations.
According to the municipality, the plan provides for a 100% waiver of fines, financial surcharges, late-payment interest, punitive interest and other additions linked to taxes, fees, charges, violations, special contributions and tariffs.
The benefit applies both to cash payments and to overdue and upcoming installments under installment plans, including obligations for the current year. In addition, those who owe only special taxes and fees corresponding to 2026 will be able to access an additional 10% discount, provided they pay in cash.

According to official information, special financing conditions were also enabled for debts registered in the Municipal Taxpayer Registry. For amounts of up to G. 99,999,999, a minimum down payment of 20% is required and the balance may be paid in up to 6 monthly installments, without interest or late-payment surcharges. For obligations of G. 100,000,000 and above, the minimum down payment remains 20% and financing may extend to 12 installments.
The Municipality added that the promotion includes facilities for taxpayers in arrears for the use of cemetery lots and fees associated with those services. Also included are fines for late filing or failure to file financial statements, as well as those linked to permits for public events.
Excluded, always according to the municipality, are the commission for judicial or extrajudicial collection efforts, traffic fines, violations related to the Construction Tax and other regulatory infractions.
The Municipality of Asunción said taxpayers may make inquiries through official channels and visit the authorized service points, including the collection counters at the Palacete Municipal and other offices distributed throughout the city.
