Controversy over a post by Soledad Carrizo featuring an AI-altered image of Peronism

Soledad Carrizo, a member of the board of the National Institute of Associations and Social Economy, became embroiled in a controversy after sharing on X an image created with artificial intelligence in which several Peronist leaders appeared represented as cockroaches, according to Ámbito.
The montage was based on a photo taken during the tribute to former Córdoba governor José Manuel de la Sota, where figures from different sectors of the Justicialist Party came together. In that image were, among others, Sergio Massa, Martín Llaryora, Juan Schiaretti, Alejandra Vigo, Cecilia Moreau, Carlos Bianco, Juan Manuel Urtubey, Rosana Bertone and former Supreme Court judge Juan Carlos Maqueda.
When sharing the post, Carrizo said the aim was to portray those sectors as a different kind of Peronism, but stated that they were “the same as always.” She also directed criticism at Massa and questioned Llaryora, Schiaretti and Vigo over the situation in Córdoba, according to Ámbito.

Carrizo was mayor of Quilino and a national deputy for the UCR since 2013. Later, she backed the idea of an agreement between sectors of the Radical Civic Union and La Libertad Avanza. In April, the Executive Branch formalized her appointment by decree as a board member of the INAES representing the national government, according to that outlet.
