Pichetto Proposed a Front with Peronism, Radicals and Sectors of the PRO for 2027
The lawmaker outlined the construction of an opposition alliance ahead of the next presidential election. He did so at a meeting organized by APOC, where consensus and institutional transparency were also discussed.
Miguel Ángel Pichetto raised the need to move toward a National Front that brings together Peronism, Radicalism and sectors of the PRO that do not align with the Government, with an eye on the 2027 presidential election.
According to reports by Clarín and La Política Online, the lawmaker made that call during the meeting “Artificial intelligence applied to labor reform and external oversight of mining and oil exploitation,” organized by APOC.
In that context, Pichetto said that an effort must be made to unify Peronism and bring in other political spaces. He also said it is necessary to set aside personal differences in order to move forward with a project of national unity.
According to Clarín, the legislator also stressed that oversight as a state policy is central, especially in the face of a government he described as carrying a “highly authoritarian” component and that, he said, will have to answer to the courts for some decisions.
Also taking part in the meeting were Hugo Quintana, general secretary of APOC, environmental law specialist Marisol Díaz and representatives of external oversight bodies from different jurisdictions in the country, according to both media outlets.
In line with that approach, Quintana said that “the path is consensus” and linked institutional rebuilding with transparency. Both Clarín and La Política Online noted that he called for restoring trust in politics through transparent governments and institutions.
