Paraguay and Argentina resumed integration committees to streamline the border

Paraguay and Argentina resumed the Falcón-Clorinda and Alberdi-Formosa Integration Committees, in an agenda focused on facilitating border transit, strengthening trade and improving infrastructure, according to La Nación Paraguay.
The opening was led by the director general of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Vera, who said border integration is a concrete tool to strengthen ties between both countries and move toward shared responses for border communities.
According to that outlet, Vera also highlighted progress in facilitating the movement of people, trade and transport, as well as commercial and productive coordination. At the same time, he stressed the need to keep reinforcing infrastructure, security and integrated control, along with sustainable border development.

According to La Nación Paraguay, the meeting will continue this Thursday with the session of the Alberdi-Formosa Integration Committee, also in Asunción.
