Paraguay will acquire ammunition from the United States for about G. 8.2 billion

Paraguay will complete the purchase of ammunition from the United States for an approximate amount of G. 8.2 billion, equivalent to a little more than US$ 1.1 million, according to an announcement by Defense Minister Óscar González at a press conference.
According to ABC Color, the acquisition will be carried out through the General Directorate of War Material and under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, a U.S. Department of Defense mechanism for channeling direct purchases of military equipment between governments.
González said the ammunition will be used to provide Paraguayan security forces with resources to fight organized crime and terrorism.
