Milei hardens his rhetoric while Casa Rosada closely watches the opposition's moves

Javier Milei once again set the tone behind closed doors in the Government by telling his ministers that the relationship with the press must be understood as a total confrontation, according to Infobae. The President leads weekly Cabinet meetings and, according to that outlet, is deepening a logic of public confrontation while focusing his attention almost exclusively on the economy.
In Casa Rosada, they believe the main test remains the progress of the economic plan. Infobae noted that Milei celebrated the August inflation figure, at 1.7%, and that the ruling party is betting on reaching the campaign with an improvement on that front. However, internal complaints also persist over the model’s impact on sectors such as industry, construction and wages.
According to Infobae, even within the Government there were calls to moderate some variables, although without success against the presidential stance. The outlet also indicated that Patricia Bullrich again called for faster measures to ease the tax burden and improve the social perception of the adjustment.
