The State Intelligence Secretariat announced the creation of the National Intelligence Corps and presented a new Intelligence Personnel Statute, as part of a reform of the National Intelligence System, according to BAE Negocios and Ámbito.
According to the official announcement, the new framework seeks to establish a permanent structure for the agency through an Intelligence Career with open and transparent entry, rigorous, competitive and depoliticized selection mechanisms, as well as specialized and ongoing training.
