Colorado dissidents blame Cartes for internal tensions and line up behind List 1 in Asunción

The internal dispute in the Colorado Party is adding new clashes between the Cartismo and the dissident wing. According to Última Hora, Congressman Daniel Centurión blamed Horacio Cartes for the tension inside Honor Colorado, stemming from his backing of Juan Carlos Baruja to join the 2028 ticket.
According to that outlet, Centurión said that decision left Pedro Alliana weakened, because the vice president and presidential hopeful had agreed to inform his running mate only after the municipal elections on October 4. Along those lines, he said Cartes’ intervention stripped him of authority.
