Jorge Macri announced ABL exemptions for hotels, restaurants and bookstores in the first half of 2027

Jorge Macri opened the Latin American International Tourism Fair at La Rural this Saturday and announced that during the first half of 2027 hotels, restaurants and bookstores in the City of Buenos Aires will not pay ABL.
According to him, the decision seeks to ease the tax burden on activities linked to tourism. In that context, he said the measure, like the 2027 Budget, aims to cut taxes for those who invest and create jobs.
During his speech, Macri said that between January and July 1.6 million international tourists arrived, 19% more than in 2025, and stressed the intention to consolidate Buenos Aires as a hub for domestic and international tourism. He also noted that the City receives close to 9 million visitors a year and that the activity generates more than 150,000 jobs.
