Martín Guzmán said that Javier Milei’s government achieved a significant reduction in inflation, but warned that, in his view, that result came alongside imbalances in production and employment.
In a radio interview cited by C5N, the former economy minister said the economy is showing slight growth, driven mainly by agriculture, energy, mining and financial integration. However, he noted that this performance does not translate into better labor conditions or greater job creation for most of the population.
Guzmán also stressed that industry and activity in cities are going through a sharp decline. In that context, he argued that this situation makes it harder to sustain fiscal policy and the surplus if revenue falls.
