Gabino Tapia will seek a jury against Laura Beatriz De Marinis over a ruling on the age of criminal responsibility

The Minister of Justice of the City of Buenos Aires, Gabino Tapia, announced that he will personally promote a request for a jury against Judge Laura Beatriz De Marinis, after she declared the reduction in the age of criminal responsibility unconstitutional in an attempted robbery case and ordered the dismissal of charges against a 14-year-old boy.
According to Tapia in remarks to Radio Mitre, the filing will seek for the City Council of the Judiciary to review whether the magistrate fulfilled her duties. The official strongly criticized the ruling and said the decision affects the legislative work that led to the new regime.
