The Government Prepares Its Strategy for the 2027 Budget and Delays Submission of the Malvinas Bill
The Casa Rosada will send the budget bill this Tuesday, while the initiative linked to the sovereignty claim over the islands still has no set date. According to Infobae, the administration has already opened talks with allies for both debates.
The national Government plans to send the 2027 Budget bill to the Chamber of Deputies this Tuesday, on a day when the ruling party’s political table will also meet again to coordinate the legislative strategy for the coming weeks.
According to Infobae, the Malvinas initiative, announced by Javier Milei in a national broadcast, still has no presentation date because the Executive Branch is still working on the final draft. The bill seeks to toughen sanctions against companies that carry out activities without Argentine authorization on the islands and on the Continental Shelf.
According to that outlet, the ruling party already showed an initial draft of that proposal to the PRO during a meeting at the Casa Rosada. There, Cristian Ritondo and Fernando de Andreis, envoys of Mauricio Macri, initially indicated their support, although they have not yet received the final version.
