Paving works advance between Quyquyhó and María Antonia in Paraguarí

Paving work on the stretch linking Quyquyhó and María Antonia continues in the department of Paraguarí, according to information released by the Ministry of Public Works and Communications.
According to the MOPC, the project covers 31.5 kilometers and aims to improve connectivity for some 15,000 residents, with the goal of overcoming the isolation caused by dirt roads and ensuring smoother traffic flow in the area.
The agency said that, between kilometers 9.9 and 14.1, work continues on embankment shaping, storm drainage installation and the relocation of water pipes. Between kilometers 15.9 and 20.1, work is focused on preparing the improved subgrade, while from 22.5 to 25.0 embankment fill and subgrade conditioning are being carried out simultaneously.
In the urban area of María Antonia, between kilometers 25.0 and 29.0, priority is being given to the relocation of drinking water networks, an intervention the MOPC considered necessary to prepare the base on which the pavement will be laid.
According to the ministry, the work corresponds to Lot 3 of contract MOPC No. 123/2024, linked to the rehabilitation and asphalt paving of strategic stretches to strengthen connectivity in Caaguazú and Paraguarí.
